Hang Loose

The blogs have been sparse, but I did say they would be in my last blog. There really hasn't been much to report with cool pictures to go along with them. I do have a job, it's a tutor position so I work with small groups at Grover Beach Elementary School. I took it mostly because I don't really like subbing. I've lost the feeling of reward and satisfaction of working with the same students everyday. I miss teaching. It doesn't pay that great, but hopefully it'll be an 'in' for a job around here.

I don't have as much free time as I did while transitioning, but I've found some time to surf. John and I go every Saturday and I usually find at least 2 other days Sunday through Friday to go. I'm slowly meeting a few women who like to surf, which is nice. I'm all geared up and I love it! I told Bethany my next blog would be when I get a surfboard, so here you go...

This is at Morro Strand Beach (right between Cayucos and Morro Bay). We surfed with dolphins this day. I almost crapped my pants thinking they were sharks (it's the season) but thoroughly enjoyed it after the adrenaline wore off.

I'm imagining myself as one of those sweet Roxy chicks that carve huge Hawaii waves...one day maybe!

My car has been converted from John's bike carrying car, to Colby's surfer chick's car. Surf's up!

I discovered my camera in my purse as I was driving to work. Probably not the safest time to have a photo shoot, but isn't the light nice?

Again, probably not the safest time to take a picture but the sun coming through the fog casted a perfect morning light.

I continue to miss my Davis life, but no one said change was easy. Sometimes I feel like a little kid looking for a friend to play with, "Excuse me, will you be my friend?" So, write or call if you get a chance, I'd like to hear from you. I'm sure there will be some more posts with pictures throughout the holidays, especially after Hawaii.

Hang Loose!

Hey Colby - so great hearing from you! Los Osos looks so laid back; I miss the central coast! I don't think I'm going to make it to the LAX alum game this year :-( If you go, good luck!
